I did some gallery hopping in NYC recently and it was cold. At 11:30 am it had only climbed to 17 degrees, but the same reason it was cold was the same reason the light was so great. Winter. A low angled sun and a city filled with glass causes the light to bounce in unexpected ways. There were times, you could search and search and not find the source of light being shown on a building, sidewalk or that spot of light in a shadowed street. Yes I went gallery hopping but I always take my camera. Here are a few photographs that found the light.
