Like much of the country I live in, on August 21st 2017 I was outside waiting for the eclipse. However, unlike much of the country I did not have the right equipment to see or properly take a photograph of the eclipse. But necessity is the mother of invention and I piled on, one on top of the other, filters for my go-to lens. So when the moon was at 70% of full coverage I started photographing hoping something could be used. I live in a part of the country which allowed to see 80% at maximum and although this photo reflects 70% coverage it is the best that I was able to capture. I suspect I can use it somewhere: perhaps a composite photo. I had fun.
