Each year I and my wife travel to the outer banks for our wedding anniversary. It is always in September when the weather is warm but not too hot and usually without the threat of hurricanes: but not always. A couple of years ago I started taking a day or two of our week long trip to get off the beach and to travel more of the byways that can be found on the island of Hatteras. There are actually lots of nooks and crannies on the island. That’s how I found the old harbor in Avon. So each year since I made the effort to photograph the same building from all the various angles I can think of. Strange as it may seem but the two I like best are straight-on. Sometimes you just gotta do it. Here are two photos taken a year apart of the same building but from different sides. I hope you enjoy them. If you want to share them with others you can go to my Facebook page and share my posts from there.
