Her music is Folk/Americana and often reflects the mood of homespun cloth and lonesome wolves at night. I realize that is a strange description for someone’s music so let me say it another way. Her music can remind you of early Appalachia with solitude woven through,  yet, like a meal that has an herb you can’t quite place Alela’s music has something modern that I can’t quite describe. Anyway I suggest you listen for yourself.
